Our Wines

Champagne, Prosecco and White Wine Selection

Searsons Wine Merchants have been providing the wines at Powerscourt Weddings for the last number of years.

They work largely with family wine producers, many of whom bear the responsibility of maintaining a great reputation which was built by generations before them. This shows through in the quality of their wines and the passion they show in promoting them.

They are located in Monkstown in Dublin and are only too delighted to meet with our couples and talk them through their pricing and wines on offer.

Champagne & Prosecco

Trouillard Champagne
A jaunty little number. Crisp, clean and full of taste.

"Jeio" Prosecco di Valdobbiadene Brut, Bisol
This vivacious wine has a rich creaminess with lots of aromatic peach fruit flavours. Finishes on an extremely elegant citrus note.

Bruno Paillard Brut Premier Cuvee
A bespoke Champagne from a small and prestigious house in France. Appreciated by wine lovers throughout the world.

White Wines

Cedar Creek, Reserve Chardonnay (Australia)
A lovely plump chardonnay without the oak - full of fruit but with a crisp finish.

Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico (Italy)
This is a beauty! Crisp granny smith fruit and wonderful citrus notes, this wine has a broad appeal.

Huia, Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (New Zealand)
This beautiful, classic sauvignon from Marlbourough is also organic and biodynamic - less guilt with the pleasure!

Macon-Fusse, Domaine des Valanges (France)
Delicious chardonnay fruit with a lovely mineral streak.

Chablis, Domaine des Malandes (France)
Classic Chablis showing ample ripe fruit - a stunning wine.

Wedding Apps

Plan your wedding with these great apps!

We all know how daunting it is to plan a wedding but look at the resources available and it can make planning that big day so much easier. There are some great wedding apps for our bridal couples and I have searched out a few for you to try.

iWedding Deluxe (iphone)

iWedding Deluxe is the iPhone wedding planner app that will organize, guide and inspire you while keeping all the vital information at your fingertips.

This app is great very detailed and has received some great reviews.

Wedding Budget (iPhone)

This app does one thing really, really well: it manages your wedding budget. The Wedding Budget app will help budgeting brides keep track of all costs and expenses, and remind you when to make deposits and payments to your wedding vendors.

Gift Organiser - (Blackberry)

Once the wedding is over and the gifts unwrapped, you’ll need a handy gift organizer, like the Gift Organizer app, to help you organize your gift wedding ideas and send thank you cards.

Getting married is one of life's biggest milestones! And Wedding Countdown makes the anticipation more exciting - customized according to your liking! I have seen so many people use these it seems to be a very popular app!

When someone asks: "When is your wedding?",
You can now say:
"After 480 kisses!", OR
"In 178,326 heartbeats!" OR
"In precisely 184,072 minutes"
Sharing your countdown via Email or Facebook!
It's fun!

This application will help you to:
1) Plan your budget. Conduct actual and estimated costs.
2) Make a list of guests.
3) Make a plan for seating guests.
4) To control planned to do list.
5) To instruct some cases to assistants.
6) Make a detailed plan for the wedding day.

Now you can access and input your wedding planning details anytime, anywhere. The best part? Your iPhone planner will automatically sync up with your tools and account on TheKnot.com!

Wedding planning is tough - just ask any bride. However using these apps can make planning your special day much easier. There are quite a few apps out there so shop around and see what works best for you. There are even apps for wedding gowns, wedding cakes, florals and so much more!

Happy Planning

Will you marry me?

We create our own tomorrow by what we dream today....

Valentine's day is fast approaching and it must be said that it is the most romantic time of the year to propose. Where better to pop the question than in the magnificent Powerscourt Gardens.

Powerscourt Estate is an oasis set in the beautiful romantic Wicklow countryside. The gardens are laid out over 47 acres so there are plenty of hidden hideaways in the gardens to pop the question.

Powerscourt Waterfall is a mere 6kms from the main gardens and this is another wonderful location to ask your sweetheart to marry you.

Remember: it may be old fashioned to ask for her hand in marriage, but it is also a very romantic gesture.

The Japanese Garden is filled with with hidden grottos and pathways to steal a kiss!

Hideaways & Wishes
Toss a coin into the wishing well and make a wish for the future.

Take a whimsical stroll around the Pepperpot Tower

Write her a love note with the proposal at the end...

If you are not the shy kind then why not propose by the lakeside!

Powerscourt Waterfall and parklands are just as romantic, bring along a bottle of bubbly and strawberries  - fresh air makes you hungry:)

...and most importantly have fun!

I will love you until the day after forever.

A dream come true!

Anne and Sean

3rd August 2012

I think you will agree when you see the photos that this wedding is what every girl dreams of! Anne grew up in the seaside town of Greystones and she always dreamed of having her wedding in Powerscourt House.

It was a lovely day and the rain held off so Anne, Sean and their guests enjoyed a lovely drinks reception on the Italian Terrace in Powerscourt Gardens.

A red carpet on arrival!

Wedding Reception in Powerscourt Ballroom

Sharing a quiet moment that they will remember for a lifetime.....

Thank you!

'A heartfelt thank you from my new husband and I for what was the most perfect day. It exceeded all of our expectations for our wedding day. Feast and Powerscourt House were amazingly helpful both on the day and in the run up. We have had so many of our friends and family comment on the beautiful setting and excellent service. The highlights included, having our drinks reception outside over looking the gardens and seeing everyone enjoying the meal in the stunning ballroom.
We are delighted we chose Powerscourt House.'
